MonitorWare Agent 1.0 Final Released

Adiscon GmbH today announced the immediate availability of MonitorWare
Agent 1.0 FINAL. After an extended beta period, the product is matured and available.

MonitorWare Agent offers superb monitoring of Windows NT, 2000 and XP
systems as well as the upcoming .NET servers. In addition to that, it can
monitor the availibility of any remote system via either standard PING messages
or by probing specific services. This even includes machines not running the
Windows OS, for example UNIX or LINUX servers. MonitorWare Agent also works as
syslog server; as such all syslog-enabled devices can forward messages for
processing to MonitorWare.
All incoming message are being processed by a feature-rich rule engine.
It does not matter what source the event came form (for exmaple, syslog or NT Event Log
Monitor). The rule engine supports unlimited filters, instant notifications,
persistant storage, the ability to start external programs and much more.
MonitorWare Agent 1.0 is the perfect operations management tool. It
can be combined with other members of the MonitorWare line of products like MoniLog. Also, many customers use it to forward monitoring information to
existing, syslog based operations management, alterting and monitoring systems.
It can be included in many IDS's.
The MonitorWare Agent 1.0 final release is a free download found at
our web site. All users are strongly encoured to try it out. All features
are fully enabled for 30 days after installation.
