- Make sure logging is enabled by using the set logging server
enable command.
- Specify the syslog server that is to receive the router syslog
messages, using the logging <server_ip> command,
where <server_ip> is the IP address of the SYSLOG server. set
logging server 1.1.1.1
- Enter set logging level informational, where informational signifies
severity level 6. This means that all messages from level 0-5 (from
emergencies to notifications) will be logged to the Syslog
server. Command: set logging server informational
- To see if syslog messages are being sent, use the sh logging
buffer command.
